I went to The Freedom Project Tour last night with Jennie Allen. If you aren’t familiar with Jennie Allen you can find out more about her on her Website. She has numerous bible studies and is the founder of If:Gathering. This whole night focused on freedom. We can be free. We can live free. We can set others free. Free from what you may ask? What is it that holds you back? Jennie talked about how, for the past 2 years, she’s been paralyzed by doubt. She would wake up in the night doubting, she would go through life doubting and all of a sudden she found herself paralyzed, apathetic and thinking about just throwing it all away. Why does it matter anyway?
She described herself as being in a dark closet, alone, fighting her battles. And then…you know what happened?
A friend asked her how she was doing. And she actually told them, “I’m fighting doubt.” Her friend spoke truth to her, asked her how long she had been fighting this doubt (2 years!) and they prayed together, talked about it. Then you know what happened?
Light broke through.
You guys, we are not meant to stay in the dark and fight by ourselves. WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER! Together. The enemy will destroy us by getting us alone, in our weakness, believing we are all alone. We are not alone. We are together. Let’s live like it.
