I had no idea you could get free museum passes with your King County Library card! Well, you can! There are 5 family-friendly local museums part of this program. Here is what you need to do.
1. Go to the Museum Registration Page
2. Click on the name of the museum you are interested in viewing.
A couple tips: Note that there are a limited number of passes available each day and they go very quickly. The library also says you should plan for two weeks and one day in advance and go to the site right at 9pm to reserve your passes. Did I mention they go VERY QUICKLY so don’t get frustrated. Just keep trying. There is a limited number.
At the moment, it looks like the King County Library System is offering passes for the following museums:
- Washington State History Museum
- Bellevue Arts Museum
- KidsQuest Children’s Museum
- MoPOP – Museum of Pop Culture
- Seattle Art Museum
- Seattle Aquarium
According to the King County Library Facebook Page, residents of Snohomish County are also eligible for KCLS library cards and museum passes as well. Reach out to them directly to see if it works for you!
