LIBRARIES
King county Libraries – King County is full of events to enjoy at all times of the day. Search their robust events calendar for all the information!
Snohomish County Libraries – Your community library has something to enjoy, we’re just sure of it. They launch their summer program starting June 1st.
Summer Reading Programs – From young reads to teens, there is a program everyone can get involved in.
OUTDOORS
Swimming Lessons – Did you know that Seattle Parks & Rec offers free swimming lessons throughout the summer at 9 area beaches? I’ve been personally putting off getting my kids in swimming lessons, but this might be a great way to do it, especially if you are struggling with the budget to do so. Find all the beaches and sign up starting June 22nd

EDUCATIONAL
Writing workshops – I love the idea of writing worships! These workshops are put on by a nonprofit writing center and they have some fun summer workshops available for a variety of grade levels.
Atlantic Street Centers offers programs for those students who are struggling academically. The programs are all funded through grants and donations and are free for participants. Students will focus on morning work in academics, language and math but also experience field trips as well.
Apple Camp – apple camp registration will be opening soon for kids 8-12. You can explore topics like coding, robotics, moviemaking or musical storytelling. Right now you can sign up to get notified when they are available.
Microsoft camp – Microsoft offers free camps too in coding and video game design. They are already open for registration.
Museums – There are plenty of free days when it comes to museums. Check out these free days to plan your trip!
MOVIES
AMC Theatres offer a Summer Movie Camp
Regal has $1 movies all summer long.
Edmonds Theatre has free kids’ screenings 11am Tuesdays in the summer.
Shoreline Crest Cinema has $4 movies every day of the year.
Bellevue’s Cinemark Summer Clubhouse is doing a 10-movie series
MUSIC
Greater Seattle on the Cheap has a full list of summer music! It’s the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors and relax while having a free family outing.
