I’m always on the look-out for quick and easy dinner ideas that my girls will love. I’m also a meal planner and lately when I think ahead to dinners for the week my mind goes blank. Pinterest is great for new ideas, but sometimes everything in my Pinterest feed looks exactly the same and I’m still left with a blank list of meals. A few weeks ago, my friend Mallory came to the rescue with this fun dinner idea – naan pizza.
Naan is a softer and more flavorful crust than other pre-made pizza crusts, and the best part is, I don’t have to roll out the dough! There are some great pre-made doughs out there too, but that’s definitely the biggest deterrent from me making homemade pizza. When I do attempt it, my pizza often ends up soggy or undercooked in the middle.
We use the garlic naan from Trader Joe’s and their pre-made pizza sauce, too. It makes this quick meal even easier because you’re just piling on ingredients and bonus: everyone can make their own, exactly how they want it. (Or if your family is like mine and everyone only wants Canadian bacon and pineapple, you can make a pizza assembly line.)
Start with naan. Top with pizza sauce. (You could also use marinara sauce.) Add shredded mozzarella cheese, then add your favorite toppings, and finish with another sprinkle of mozzarella.
Some of these favorite toppings might require minimal chopping, but most don’t require more than opening the package before throwing them on the pizza and putting it in the oven – Pepperoni, salami, Canadian bacon, pancetta, olives, mushrooms, peppers, red onions, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, and pineapple.
Cook at 425 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
I serve mine with a pre-packaged side salad, and dinner is ready!
Do you like to meal plan? What easy dinners are on your menu for this week?

I’m Hannah — a Seattle native and a mom to three spirited daughters. I love a good oat milk latte from Caffe Ladro, learning to skateboard with my 6-year-old, and exploring new parks with my best friend and partner, Matt. I’ve walked through hard seasons of divorce, single-parenting, and mental illness (in my kids and myself), but in the last couple years I’ve been redefining what it means for me to be a mom in my 30’s and how to find joy right here. (Hello, skateboard lessons and adult art class!) I didn’t expect much of anything about my life as it is now, but I’m learning to savor each moment. There is so much joy to be found here.
