Well, here we are. The days are blurring together. As I type this, it’s Tuesday. Or as we now call it in our house: “Day.” We now somehow manage a hybrid of work-from-home, school-from-home, shop-from-home life. So, in compliance with “Stay Home, Stay Safe” let’s hear it for: Things that show up at your doorstep!
Disclaimer: I have not been compensated in any way for my reviews of the following. These are all subscriptions I have signed up for on my own for my family.
Let’s start with first things first:
I’m a big fan of starting the day off…. right. For you, it’s probably tuning in with Erica, getting the SPIRIT 105.3 Verse of the day on your phone, and a nice strong cup of coffee. If you’re an overachiever, you make your bed.
I recently signed up for Camano Island Coffee, which is shade-grown, organic, and fairly-traded. It shows up on your doorstep, like a gift from the Lord himself 🙂
Special note: You can get your first bag free right now with only a $.99 shipping charge. Go get it!
So we JUST signed up for this, and I was so impressed. A few weeks ago, as I was noticing grocery stores running low, I looked into ButcherBox for meat options.
The box sizes seemed a little large for our family, so I texted my neighbor Paula and asked if she wanted to go halvsies with me. (See? Great way to get to know your neighbors!)
The meat was all the stuff that matters to me: Organic, grass-fed, high-quality. It arrives frozen solid, and the shipment was on-time.
Sidenote: I had the BEST customer service experience because I needed to call and make sure all the options were gluten-free, as our youngest has Celiac. I spoke with a real-live-person RIGHT AWAY, and she was super helpful!
Our family has been using Thrive for about six months now, and we LOVE it. SO many pantry staples and (again, as listed above) we can sort by specific dietary needs, like Gluten-Free. And because being GF as a family is more than a choice for us, but rather a medical necessity due to our toddler’s autoimmune condition, I really appreciate any company that makes that process easier.
Note: They are currently running 7-10 days delayed on shipping, due to increased demand.
I know I’m not the only one that has the cute little bin on the porch for this delivery dropoff! It’s much more than milk, cheese, eggs and butter. Many options; easy to navigate website.
Part of Stay Home, Stay Healthy involves fresh produce! You can pick a family plan, or order items ala carte. Family-run, local, wonderful. We just began deliveries last week!
So this one is not food related, but it keeps the kids busy (for at LEAST a solid 15 minutes, haha) which means you get your sanity. You can browse by age and interest. My seven year old gets one delivery a month, which is often intercepted by his older sister. Directions are easy to follow and the creations are fun!
Let’s just give a shout out to whoever it was that came up with boxes that show up on your doorstep! We live in a glorious time. Now, it’s your turn. What are your favorite subscription boxes?
