Some moms go all out for holidays. Others forget they’re even happening until the morning of, when they see other moms’ spectacular efforts broadcast on social media. No matter which camp you fall into, here are some fun ways to make St. Patrick’s Day memorable for your kids.
Lucky Charms + Green Milk: Making a holiday magical doesn’t have to be complicated. Buy a box of Lucky Charms cereal and serve them with milk that’s been tinted green with food coloring. Boom.
Rainbow Waffles: If you love going above and beyond, make these rainbow waffles! They’re not complicated, but will definitely take some extra prep.
Shamrock Pancakes: Use food coloring to dye the pancake batter green, and shape them with a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Arrange them on a plate in the shape of a shamrock (see photo above)!
Rainbow Mini Pancakes: Dye pancake batter different colors, and arrange your pancakes in the ROYGBIV pattern on a plate! Takes a little extra prep dishes, but easier than the rainbow waffle.
Rainbow Cloud Donuts: Soooo easy! Buy powdered mini donuts and make a rainbow between them using Froot Loops cereal and a pipe cleaner.
Rainbow Treat Jar: A canning jar, chocolate coins, mini marshmallows, and Skittles are all you need for this cute little treat.
Pancakes and Rainbow: Don’t feel like coloring your pancakes? No worries. Make two stacks of mini pancakes, put a dollop of whipped cream on each of them, and put a strip of rainbow striped candy (like Airheads) to span the gap like a rainbow.
No-Bake Cake Balls: Make these super simple (and delicious) cake balls, dye the insides green with food coloring, and decorate them with green sprinkles!
Edible Rainbow Math Game: Do you have littles? This craft + math game + snack is a great (and yummy) activity!
Rainbow Snack Board: Pinterest is full of ideas for this! Make it as healthy or indulgent as you want. Make a rainbow with fruits and veggies, or include candy and marshmallows to make it extra fun.
