This is such a fun project. It kept my granddaughter and me entertained for a long time. We had way more fun than I even imagined and we got a bit carried away with ideas. We kept hauling more food items to the table as we thought of new ways to decorate. This is what our table ended up looking like:
But, don’t worry, you can keep this as simple as you want to.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Graham crackers
- Blue frosting (or white frosting tinted blue)
- Assorted fruits and candies
The underwater crackers were really fun to make. We used goldfish crackers, apple fruit roll-ups, crushed grahams, and candy pearls and stars.
We also had a blast with the flower crackers. I bought an assorted fruit tray from the grocery store and that, along with more fruit roll-ups, gave us a ton of inspiration.
And, none of our craft sessions are complete without at least one weird creation, so Nora made a cactus which turned out to look like a monster (we took a lot of pictures of this one because it was our favorite).
When we were done, we also had fun taking our creations outside and photographing them (let kids help here too).
This would be such a fun project for a slumber party or a tea party. Give it a try!
