We are sharing a series of blogs focused specifically on praying over the new school year. For the next 10 days we will be praying over parents, teachers, administrators, support staff and students. Please share your prayer in the comments or join us on Facebook to post your prayer there!
Dear Lord,
As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, we bring before you all our school administrators. Thank you for these men and women who have taken on the big responsibility of leading our schools. We pray that, after a stressful previous year, each of them would come back to school refreshed and with a renewed love and passion for their job and for the success of their school’s students and staff. Guide them, Jesus, as they work tirelessly with their staff to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for our children.
Please grant our administrators an abundance of wisdom as they are making decisions about how to keep our kids and teachers safe this coming school year. Give them grace to listen to the questions and concerns they will receive from families, and discernment as they respond. Help parents to be reasonable and willing to hear what our administrators have to say, recognizing that they are working hard to make decisions that are safe and beneficial for all students.
Help our school administrators find a balance between being professional and being approachable. Bless them with empathy and creativity as they strive to support and encourage their students, staff, and families. In return, we pray that, alongside our administrators, you would place families, teachers, and community members who will be an encouragement to them as they navigate the challenges that are sure to be encountered this year.
Allow our administrators the ability to see and nurture the special talents and abilities of each student, teacher, and staff member in their school. Show them how to bring out the best in each person. Consequently, allow our administrators to see the fruits of their labor often in the accomplishments of their students and teachers.
Let this school year be filled with joy and laughter, as well as with incredible growth and learning—for kids and adults alike. May You be glorified in all that is said and done in our schools this year.
We love you, Lord, and pray these things in Your name.
Amen.
