Advent calendars are a great holiday tradition, and I absolutely love watching my kids open the little paper doors each day as we eagerly countdown to Christmas Day. The past few years, I have also bought one for my husband and I. But if you want to start on time on December 1st, you need to plan ahead and order soon! Here are some ideas:
“Friends” Advent Calendar– I got this one last year and have to say, as a huge fan of the tv series, this did not disappoint. It came with not only funny quotes but paper ornaments, magnets and other fun surprises in
Avengers Advent Calendar– This is the one my son will be getting this year. I am pretty sure my husband will be equally excited.
Slime Calendar –My eight-year-old LOVES slime and would absolutely flip over this one.
Fidget Calendar–If there is one thing my daughter loves more than slime, it’s fidget toys. This is the winner for what I decided to get her this year.
Squishy Calendar– Both of my kids are obsessed with squishies. If you are too, check out this one with one mini squishy for each day in December leading up to Christmas!
Re-fillable Wooden Advent Calendar– This is a great option to avoid buying a new calendar every single year. You can fill it yourself with candy, small toys or anything that fits in the adorable little compartments.
A Christmas Story Advent Calendar– Can’t go wrong with this Christmas classic which might be particularly fun for those with older kids who have long out grown the “slim, fidget or squishy stage”.
Kid’s Nativity Advent Calendar – This super-affordable option lets your child place all the players of the Christmas story around the nativity as they anticipate the arrival of Jesus.
Christmas Nativity Scene Set – Each day reveals a new toy piece as your child sets up the nativity. You’ll have a nativity set they’re allowed to play with!
Advent Calendar & Activity Card Set – Each day reveals a verse and has an activity to complete (like donating a toy) to remember the reason for the season.
The options for Advent calendars are endless. Find the perfect one for your family, but don’t delay ordering it! Now is the time!
