Who ever heard of hanging peanuts on a Christmas tree?! Well, now you have.
We had so much fun making these. My eldest daughter and my granddaughter came over and we had a peanut painting party!
Painted Peanut People Ornaments
Materials:
- Peanuts in the shell (unsalted)
- Craft paint
- Brushes
- String for hanging
- Pom-poms, felt, etc. for decoration.
- Craft glue or hot glue gun
Really, the only limit to these ornaments is your imagination. Look at your peanuts and see what the shape reminds you of and then start painting!
We started out with snow people.
Then, we moved on to penguins and Santa.
Before you know it you will have a whole group of funny peanut ornaments!
We glued string on the top for hanging, but you could certainly thread a needle and try sewing a stitch in the peanut. For the snowmen wearing hats, glue the string down under the little pop-poms.
