My granddaughter and I had fun the other night.
You know the fidget, pop-it, spinner craze? If you have kids, I’m sure you do! Anyway, my granddaughter loves them and would be happy if she had every one ever made. She brought this one over for our weekly slumber party.
First, I ran it through the dishwasher (the kids trade fidgets during recess and who knows how many people touched this one!). These are made from silicone and are easily washed in the top shelf of a dishwasher.
Then, I let my granddaughter arrange M&M candies in any pattern she desired. She chose God’s rainbow.
We melted chocolate chips in the microwave (half a bag is plenty for this size). The cooking time will depend on your microwave. We started with one minute on 50%, stirred, and did 15 second blasts between stirrings.
Once the chips are melted, dump the chocolate on top of the M&M filled pop-it and spread it with a knife.
Chill until set. We let it set overnight, but an hour should do fine.
Turn your pop-it over and gently remove the chocolate from the “mold”.
Voila! An awesome candy bar!
Because there are high ridges in the pop-its, it is easy to split the chocolate into rods.
This was so much fun AND delicious! We immediately had ideas for other patterns and other flavors of M&Ms (peanut butter is next!). Or, if you’re a fan of white chocolate, you could easily sub white chocolate chips. The possibilities are endless!
Have fun with them!
