Pumpkin season is here! Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin sweets, pumpkin candles. If you are beyond excited for this time of year and love all things pumpkin, you will thoroughly enjoy this chili! Not only is it an easy crock pot recipe that will make your house smell like fall, but it is also a delicious spin on a filling favorite. Enjoy it with some cornbread on a chilly autumn evening or serve it up while you and your loved ones watch a football game. What are some of your family’s favorite fall dinner recipes? Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef or turkey
Two bell peppers, diced (I usually use one red and one green)
½ yellow onion, diced
Two cloves minced garlic
15 oz. pumpkin puree
28 oz. crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp tomato paste
1 can kidney beans
1 can black beans
2 tsp cider vinegar
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 Tbsp chili powder
Directions:
Cook beef in large skillet until no longer pink. Drain fat and add to the slow cooker.
Mix all remaining ingredients in with the beef.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cornbread.
