The King County Library System (KCLS) offers programs, services and resources to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond. We are your partners in learning.

Most King County students who attend schools within the KCLS service area (outside the city of Seattle) automatically receive a KCLS student account. A student account is a unique library account that uses a student’s ID number or college email address instead of a physical library card. Student accounts provide full access to all digital materials, including eBooks and audiobooks, and databases for research and homework help.
Study Zone
KCLS’ Study Zone program provides free learning support in a variety of subjects for students in grades K-12. Resources include:
- Tutors in Libraries (in person and online)
Students can get homework help in any subject. Drop in any time during program hours. - Reading Buddies (in person and online)
Kids can practice reading out loud with a reading buddy. Two students are paired by reading level. - Math Club (online)
Students can participate in a one-hour math lesson each week to expand their math skills. - Kids and Teens Talk Time (online)
Kids and teens can build English conversation skills at one of our daily Talk Times.
Study Zone services are available in multiple languages and may be accessed in person or online with a computer, tablet or phone. For the full list of services and the current schedule, visit kcls.org/studyzone.
