I am all in with the season of fall. Pumpkin spice, cool and crisp autumn days, the anticipation of the holidays right around the corner. I love making my house feel the seasons. Pumpkin and leaves décor, pulling out our thicker blankets and of course making sure my home smells like fall.
This Autumn simmer pot is not only an easy way to get your house smelling like all the wonderful parts of the season but it’s also a really cute DIY gift for teachers, co-workers and friends. Just put the ingredients in a mason jar and tell them to simmer in water. That’s it!
Here is what you need:
- 1 apple (any kind), sliced
- 1 orange (any kind), sliced
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- Water
- Pot to simmer it in
Here is what you will do:
Fill your pot 1/4-1/2 full of water
Slice the apple and orange
Place the slices into the pot
Place the rest of the ingredients into the pot
Allow to simmer on your stove
Add more water if the water starts to deplete
Enjoy!
