Are you looking to plan a dog-friendly vacation? Look no further than Seattle. With many outdoor activities, indoor options as well as the perfect hotel for your stay, Seattle is a great destination vacation or staycation opportunity to bring your canine family member! Plus, not having to board your favorite pet will save some money you can spend on vacation.
The Westin Seattle
The Westin Seattle is our favorite pet friendly property in Seattle. They have the Westin Heavenly Dog Beds as well as other special gifts and homemade dog treats. They have a 75lb limit for dogs who stay over, along with a $75 pet fee. I would be paying more than that to kennel, so it’s a no brainer for me! You don’t have to compromise on comfort when you bring your dog, The Westin Seattle can take care of you both!

Seattle Area Parks
1.Warren G Magnuson Park is the largest area park with an off-leash area, boasting an 8.6 acre open space in a fully fenced backyard. There is also an off-leash beach, which is the only one in the area.
If you want to see the full list of all area parks that have an off-leash area, Seattle has done a nice job of putting that together. Check out the full list on the parks page.
2. Lower Woodland Park off-leash area is a one-acre dog park on a slope. It has benches and a doggie drinking fountain. It is near Woodland Park Zoo and Green Lake. The addition of a Small and Shy Dog Area is available for the more timid pups.
BARK! Espresso
While a dog is not required to visit Bark! Espresso, your dog is more than welcome and encouraged to come.
Barkery Treat Truck & Bakery
This Seattle bakery is all about custom dog treats! You can really spoil your special companion and any of their three locations in South Lake Union, Marymoor or Shoreline. Make sure you check out their Website for location hours and directions!
Bark at the Park
While the 2024 season is done, keep checking back for the 2025 season. Mariner’s usually have a Bark in the Park on select dates.
Pike Place
Wandering Pike Place Market is always a fun day and an easy outing for you and your dog.
You don’t want to leave any members of your family home during a vacation, which is why Seattle makes it so easy for dogs to come too. Erase the stress and plan a pet-friendly stay at The Westin Seattle and then explore easily from there. Seattle is known for being dog-friendly and looks forward to welcoming you for your next vacation or staycation!
