I haven’t been watching my grandkids now for about 6 months…boo hoo. Now that I’m getting away from having such little ones around me every day, sometimes I forget what it is like to be in that season of life.
I see Moms every day in the grocery stores, at schools (I work at them), on the road…etc. I have a lot in common with them…after all, all Mom hearts are bound together with one bond right?!
Sometimes though I forget what it is like to be at home with littles all day long, or heading out to work while I leave my littles with a sitter. I forget the exhaustion of runny noses and sleepless nights and no, no’s and endless laundry with little help. Well I still have sleepless nights and lots of no no’s but a different kind. HA!
The teaching, the training, the messes, and of course the blessings can be exhausting and overwhelming.
I’m a firm believer in remembering where we came from. As we become older women…
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” Hebrews 10:24
Moms of littles need to know that seasons don’t last forever, that this is a marathon and not a sprint. To treasure in their hearts the things the Lord shows them about their little ones and believe it.
If you see a young Mom struggling, just a little offer of help can let them know that they are not alone. Open the car door for the Mom that has her hands full, load her groceries into the car for her or even just a word of encouragement will bless her day.
A little goes a long way in the life of a Mom.
