Luke 24:6 – He is not here; he has risen!
What you’ll need:
- 1 shallow flower-pot (I used a 10-inch pot intended for succulents, fairy garden pots work well for this, too!)
- 1 small terra cotta pot (for 10-inch pots, use a 2 inch terra cotta)
- 2-3 plants or flowers of your choice (for 10-inch pots, two fit perfectly. I used a white pansy and a tassel fern)
- Twigs for the crosses
- 1 large rock (close to the size of the tomb entrance/terra cotta pot)
- Pebbles for decoration
- Small bag potting soil
- Glue dots, glue gun, or twine to hold the crosses together (I used glue dots!)
- Scrap of cloth or tissue to lay in the tomb/terra cotta pot
Fill your lower pot about 1/3 of the way, leaving room to set the plants in.

Place plants closer to one side of the pot, leaving room for the terra cot pot.
Fill the pot with enough soil to cover the plant roots.
Add the terra cotta pot, tipped on its side and slightly dug into the soil.

Set up your twigs and clip them to be similar sizes, then glue in place.

Arrange the crosses so they are tucked in or behind the plants.
Position the big rock next to the tomb/terra cotta pot.
Place the cloth inside.
Arrange pebbles for decoration if you wish.

*If you prefer to use a 12in pot or larger, you can use up to a 4in terra cotta pot.
Whether you have little ones at home to help you hunt for the twigs and rocks, your kids are grown, or you’re looking for a special project to do with your grandkids, this craft is fun and meaningful for everyone! It is a beautiful reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us all. I wish you and your family a very Happy Easter as you welcome spring and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord! He is Risen!
Romans 10:9 – If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
