Whatcom Falls Park – A lovely trail and waterfall. This 4-mile loop is beautiful. Perfect if you are looking for an outdoor adventure.
Fairhaven Historic District – You will love the artsy Fairhaven District. Stroll through the city and enjoy the 19th century architecture. Local shops, art galleries, restaurants and pubs make this a fun getaway destination. You’ll also find one of the best independent bookstores in the nation. While you are in town stay at the Fairhaven Inn.
Boulevard Park – This is a great family park. Pack a picnic, bring the kids and dog and enjoy a day in the great outdoors.
Lake Padden Park– This park is full of some short trails and long trails. Great for any length of exploring you may want to do.
Mount Baker Theatre– What a beautiful theatre! Built in 1927 this theatre will inspire you with its history and its shows. Take in a show or concert and enjoy!
Spark Museum of Electrical Invention– The name alone might not sell you on this, but we promise it is worth a visit. With interactive exhibits and unique objects, this musuem is truly fun for the whole family.
Larrabee State Park – Ready for some camping? This camping park has much for you to enjoy: freshwater lakes, coves and tidelands. The sunsets are gorgeous too so make sure your camera is ready. Stay for a weekend or just stop by for the day.
Nooksack Falls – This waterfall will leaving you oohing and ahing. It is one of the most popular in the North Cascades.
Boat Tours – Interested in a day out on the water or some whale watching? Bellingham has you covered.
Interurban Trail – According to Whatcom County.us – ‘The last electric train clacked along the Interurban Railway in 1928, but the route connecting urban greenways in Bellingham’s historic Fairhaven with Larrabee State Park has been reborn as a favorite with walkers, runners, bicyclists and equestrians. Vistas to the San Juan Islands and spur trails to mountain views, lakes and beaches entice you to linger.’ Sounds delightful.
Sunset over Bellingham Bay – Do you want to catch the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen? Grab your camera!
Chuckanut Drive – Do you love scenic drives? Bellingham has something perfect for you. This scenic drive thru will take you through South Bellingham to Skagit.
Mallard Ice Cream – All this hiking, biking and sight seeing is going to leave you ready for a snack. Stop by this delightful ice cream shop which is sure to give you an energy boost.
Artist Point – Mt Baker -At the moment Artist Point is closed, however, keep this one on your list. Once it opens again you’ll want to check it out. The road typically opens in July.
Zuanich Park -The Port of Bellingham describes this park best: ‘OverlookingSqualicum Harbor, the 4.4-acre Zuanich Point Park is the venue for community events, boating celebrations, picnics, and outstanding kite flying. The Squalicum Promenade paved path, perfect for jogging and roller-blading, connects Squalicum Harbor and Zuanich Point Park to the Bellwether on the Bay development.’
