Everything about this school year has been different. With three months of quaran-school this spring, there is little fanfare to welcome the beginning of summer. This time of year would usually be filled with class parties and fun field trips, but instead it’s the last Zoom meeting and the final packet of work dropped off at school.

Since we’re looking at a few more months of phasing out of quarantine, it looks like beach and zoo trips and end-of-the-year celebrations will have to wait, so we’ve rounded up a few fun field trips you can do from home and plan for a future visit (except #5 – a real visit would be tricky).
- Visit the Grand Canyon via the Corridor Trails to visit Phantom Ranch, raft on the Colorado River through the Canyon, or watch excavations of archaeological digs.
- Visit Yellowstone National Park and walk popular trails and visit geysers.
- Explore the ocean through various live cams. The beach in Oahu, Tropical Reef Aquarium, Shark Lagoon, and so many more beautiful oceans and oceanic animals to discover.
- Inspire your young artist by taking a tour of a museum.
- See the world from the International Space Station.
- Check out a live performance by the Seattle Symphony.
- Introduce your child to the opera with nightly performances at the Met Opera.
- Grab some popcorn and enjoy front of house seats at a Broadway
- Visit the Woodland Park Zoo by watching their live animal cams.
- Go to Disneyland. Take a walk down Main Street and explore the park to see which characters you can find.
What places are you looking forward to exploring?
