Let’s go back to the beginning and remember how powerful God’s word is. He spoke this world into existence simply through his words. God is an artist, a savior and a friend. We hope this reminds you that he is a creator full of creativity. God made something out of nothing! So incredible.
Start by reading Genesis 1.
A few things to ponder and talk about.
- God is so creative! What are some things in creation you’ve seen that shows off this creativity?
- When God was done working he rested. How can you take the time to rest in your own life? What can we do as a family to rest?
Snack time!
Ingredients:
- Blue Jello cups (You can make this from scratch or buy the cups)
- Life Savers
- Teddy Grahams – any flavor.
This snack is inspired by the 7th day of rest! Place one of the little bears on the Jello next to his life saver. This is a simple illustration of God resting. We’re pretty sure there will be pools in heaven.
Simple ways like this allow you to share the Bible in a way that is creative and inspires your kids to have fun with it too!
