So, here’s what happened this week. I decided to write a blog about how moms need their own tribes and how hard it can be for introverts to build that tribe.
Once I began to jot my thoughts down, I realized that I wanted to include the link to a blog I’d written a few years ago about my mom’s mothering style. So, I went to allmomdoes.com and did a search. I found amazing blogs by my co-bloggers that were really close to my subject:
Stephanie wrote about the importance of building a group of mom friends (but, she’s pretty much an extrovert): Why You Need Mom Friends
Emily wrote about finding her tribe: When You Find Your Tribe
And, then I found almost the exact blog I wanted to write by Kristina! To The Introverted Mom Who’s Lonely
At first, I was a little bummed. Kristina wrote on the subject so beautifully. But, then I got sucked into the vortex of All Mom Does blogs and soon I was reading about all kinds of varied subjects. Seriously, if you can think of it, we’ve probably written about it:
Rebecca and Erika sit at our encouragement table every week and do just that, encourage moms. Here they are talking about raising kids in a scary world: Encouragement Table: Raising Kids in a Scary World
Julie hosts our Motherhood Podcasts with amazing guests. Here is her best of 2018 list: The Modern Motherhood Podcast – The 51 Best Episodes
This is my favorite blog by Abbie. It really changed how I think about prayer: One Simple Change to Revive Your Prayer Life
Because I journal too, I love Georgina’s blog about journaling with your child: Journaling with Kids
Jillian’s blog on raising an introvert to be polite while still facing “stranger danger” is a really interesting read: Why I’m Not Focused on Raising Polite Children
In the annals of All Mom Does, there are some amazing blogs. You can access them easily by heading to allmomdoes.com and pressing the magnifying glass at the top right of the home page. Then, simply type in the subject or author you’re interested in. Need simple dinner ideas? Struggling with mental health issues? Interested in fostering or adoption? Or, maybe you’re a single parent and need advice. We have all that and so much more at allmomdoes.com.
I never did find that blog I was looking for, but I found a whole lot more. And, I plan on heading back to our website to spend more time reading the funny, heartfelt and informative blogs that are there.
So, If you are an introvert and are trying to find your tribe, will you consider letting us be a part of it? Because, you see, we created AMD for just that reason, to support and encourage all kinds of moms. And, Lord knows we need that in this world.
