Father God,
I come before you today and thank you for all the parents who are preparing their kids for a new school year. Each of them has been given such a monumental task in the raising of their kids and I ask for you to equip them as only you can do.
When mountains rise before them, I pray they will reach out to you for guidance, and you will answer them. May they humble themselves and be willing to yield to you. When conflict arises, I pray you will give them the right words to say- words of affirmation and support. May they speak the truth in love. When they come to a crossroads, give them the wisdom they need to make the right decisions for their families and children. Make clear for them the direction they need to take.
Lord, this can be such a busy season. I ask that you give parents peace as they navigate added activities to their schedules. Help them to know what to prioritize and how to say no if needed. I pray that you give each parent the energy, time, and patience they need as they lead their kids into this school year. Finally, I ask that each home would be filled with the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control.
