Okay, my neighbors may have wondered what was happening today when we decided to set up the Christmas tree so we could create an unboxing and setup video just for you, but it was totally worth it. I recently was on the hunt for a new Christmas tree and I’m a bit of a Christmas tree snob. We don’t buy fresh ones and we just want something that looks really nice. Our last one lasted 10 years and finally had started to shed everywhere, most of the lights were out, and it was time to say goodbye to it. This year we decided to save up and spend a bit more on a Balsam Hill tree. After my very formal poll on Facebook, it seems the people that had Balsam Hill enjoyed them the most. So, we decided to give it a go.
Here is my unboxing and what it took to set it up. We purchased our tree on Amazon since I had some Amazon points from my credit card. It came to our house in about 5 days. In honor of Hallmark Channel starting their Christmas movies today we decided to set it up and see how it looked!
So far, I love it and would say the extra money does make a difference. I highlight a few of the things I really love it about it in the video. (Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel!) I didn’t get paid by Balsam Hill. I just wanted to share my experience for fun. The word on the street is if you want the best deal on these trees, you should buy one in February or March. There are also coupons here and there as well.
If you aren’t yet excited about Christmas, you can just look at my Halloween decorations in the background. We have a bit of both going on. Ha! In my personal opinion, life is short so set up your tree when you want to and don’t worry about what everyone else is doing.
When do you normally set up your tree? Do you get a real tree or have a fake tree?
