We all love Easter fun. Here are a few things I’ve learned that might save you a lot of stress. Give them a try.
1) Avoid Easter Egg Fights (or my 4 yr old trampling my 1 yr old)
This idea is brilliant and easy! Dye the Easter eggs different colors for each kid. Then, on Easter, each kid only collects their color egg! This will hopefully help the older kids from getting all the eggs. If you want to make it a contest, you can still compete for whoever collects a certain number of “their” color first.
2) Bacon in the oven
Tired of grease pops, cleaning up grease and/or being tied to the kitchen just to make a batch of bacon for a special occasion? Try making it in the oven!
Lay raw bacon on a foiled lined oven sheet. Place in a cold oven. Set oven to 400 degrees and cook for 20 minutes. No flipping required.
3) Rainy Easter activity
Unfortunately, it looks like it may rain on Sunday. Besides moving your egg hunt indoors (tip, if hiding real eggs- ensure you know how many you hid so you don’t have a rotten surprise in a few days). Try an indoor egg toss!
You’ll need: 6-12 plastic cups, plastic eggs and THAT’S IT! The objective is whatever you set it to be. First to get an egg in each cup wins, first team to get a tic-tac-toe wins. There are lots of possibilities! Line up the cups to a reasonable distance so it’s challenging yet fun for the kids and for you!
I hope this simple little things can help your Easter celebrations. Any fun easter tips you’d suggest?
