Ground Chicken Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes
These sloppy-joe style sandwiches taste just like a cheeseburger with none of the fuss. No need to form patties or even serve condiments since all of the classic flavors are mixed right into the skillet! Serves 6.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Tb. cooking oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 lb. Isernio’s ground chicken
- 1 1/2 Tb. steak sauce
- 3 Tb. ketchup
- 1 Tb. mustard
- 1 Tb. relish
- 3/4 tsp. granulated garlic
- salt to taste
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat oil in skillet; add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add ground chicken and brown until fully cooked.
While chicken is cooking, mix the steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, relish, and granulated garlic in a small bowl. Add sauce mixture to chicken and simmer for 3-4 minutes, until thickened.
Add salt to taste, then stir in shredded cheddar.
Serve on hamburger buns.
