We all want the very best for our children, but it’s impossible to do everything right all the time. Admitting that is freeing – and it’s also encouraging to other moms in the midst of intense seasons. That’s the idea behind our Monday Mom Confessions and we’d love for you to join us – share your own confession in the comments below! Let’s throw off the weight of perfection and get real around here!
Pinterest night gives me anxiety.
The word ‘craft’ literally makes my heart stop for a second.
Coloring is off the table. Put the glue away. Glitter – oh please no! My hsuband is in charge of helping with those types of school projects.
Here it is….I’m a mom who hates crafting and I FEEL SO GUILTY!
My children will not have wonderful amazing baby books filled with little doodads and beepods that they can cherish for years to come. If I give you a card, it will be store bought. I look at something on Pinterest and think, I can totally do this, but I really do not have the patience and I end up asking for help (thanks, Mom! Thanks, Husband!). The girls get together for a night of creating masterpieces and I can’t bring myself to go because I just feel so inadequate, like I’ve missed out on some important secret I’m supposed to understand.
Frankly, I feel a little nauseated even thinking about it.
So, there ya have it. Non-crafters unite! Are you one too? Can we start a support group? And, for those of you gifted crafters….well done! Can I send you my Pinterest ideas?
