We are sharing a series of blogs focused specifically on praying over the new school year. For the next 10 days we will be praying over parents, teachers, administrators, support staff and students. Please share your prayer in the comments or join us on Facebook to post your prayer there!
Dear God,
Thank You for all of the school support staff members who help students every day. We lift up each and every one of them. Custodians, secretaries, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, kitchen staff, and so many more who help our future generations become successful learners and citizens. God we know schools cannot operate without these important individuals.
Lord, the past two school years have been extremely challenging. Thank you for all that our school support staff have done to help students get through these challenging times. Help them continue to trust in You as these challenging times continue. Please remind them of Your love for them and Your constant presence. May You comfort them when they become overwhelmed or anxious. May You give them peace when they face tribulations. Lord, we are so grateful for them.
Lord, thank You for the support staff who seem to go unnoticed. We pray that they will feel appreciated, seen, and loved by their students and their families, coworkers, and the community. May they work with confidence in knowing that their work matters. We pray that they will know their priceless value, and will see the impacts of their hard work.
We pray over the bus drivers. May they safely operate their vehicles, while making connections with students.
We pray over the secretaries. As they work with families, staff, and students, may they have peace when times become stressful.
We pray over the custodians. As they keep schools clean and safe, may they know how appreciated they are.
We pray over the kitchen staff. As they are cooking and serving food to our children, help them to see You in their work.
We pray over the paraprofessionals. While they are working closely with students, may they find the right words to say to help our students. Hear their prayers they have over their students.
All of these people are servants, which we know You value highly. Lord, please equip these staff members to perform their jobs with excellence. Use their hands to do this holy work in schools. We pray in the name of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve. Amen.
