If the pandemic has taught us anything it’s that there is real value and importance in the role schools play to our children’s overall well-being. The experiences that they have in school help grow them, allow them to develop important skills, and give them opportunity to explore the gifts God has given them.
As we look to help shape our children’s gifts and purpose, Bellevue Christian School reminds us of several ways they as a school do just that. Our gifts don’t define who we are. They aren’t our identity. Our identity remains in Christ. However, God has given us our gifts for the glory of God and the good of others. Helping our children unwrap these gifts is a great joy and done in the following ways:
- Support. Through an incredible support system, students allow themselves to try things without fear about what their peers may think about them.
- Safety. By developing a school where peers don’t make fun of one another and where anyone can try anything, students feel safe to explore their interests and passions.
- Opportunity. Creating amazing opportunities for every student in a variety of ways, students have choices to grow and develop.
- Community. Students are allowed to apply real work to meet the real needs of real people in the world. This helps them apply their gifts and skills to the real world.
It’s an incredible experience watching kids overcome their fears, develop passions and gifts and learn how God wants to use them in the world. Hear more about how Bellevue Christian School helps shape students “In Their Own Words.”
