Do you have a high school student who’s starting to spread their wings? The Summer Journey at Northwest University might be the perfect experience for them this summer!
The Summer Journey is a nine-day program held on the campus at Northwest University designed to help High School students discover how their unique story and interests find meaning, purpose, and clarity in God’s great story.
In a time when students are taking inventory of what the future may hold, The Summer Journey offers them a space to build authentic friendships and ask tough questions about life, faith, and vocation. With trusted friends and mentors, students will embark on a journey into the story of scripture and gain tools they need to understand God’s mission so that they can live as thoughtful, devoted Christians in their home, school, work and church communities!
For nine days students will experience life on the Northwest University campus, living in the dormitories and eating at the cafeteria. Each day will end with our famous “late-night snack”, leaving time for students to hang out, process the day’s events and have fun. During their time on campus students will receive top of the line teaching from PhDs and local pastors who are passionate about helping them understand the story of God and their unique place in it. Students will engage in classroom learning and discussion as well as evening services, times of prayer and worship through song. Each day students will also engage in a variety of recreational activities and outdoor excursions both on campus and throughout the greater Seattle Area.
In addition to being a fun and enriching time, it’s also a GREAT preview of college life! Participants will not only be using much of Northwest University’s campus (including dormitory and cafeteria access) but will also be engaging in lectures each day that mirror typical collegiate classroom settings.
The Summer Journey will be held on the Northwest University campus in Kirkland, Washington June 24-July 2, 2022 and is open to students currently in grades 9-11. Applications for The Summer Journey are now open, and need-based scholarships are available. Learn more about The Summer Journey at Northwest University here!
