Mamas. Can you relate?
My pregnancies seemed sooooooo long. As in, time crept by. Seasons elongated. Maternity clothes seemed forever.
And then, all the sudden…
Bam, boom, birth.
And the next time I blinked, a year had gone by and that baby, who had seemed to be in utero unlimited, was now smashing their one year birthday cake into the grout of the tile floor.
Had did that happen all so fast?
This latest baby of mine, this book baby named Raising an Original?
Same thing. And a legitimately looooooong pregnancy. Incubated through four different book proposals, a couple different titles, and a multi-month writing process.
And all the sudden, bam, boom, first book birthday.
I know.
It’s some kind of quantum phenomenon.
While my head is still spinning that the book release was a year ago, I’m ready to celebrate.
