We are living in a much different time, aren’t we? We see our teachers via the screen rather in person. It can be challenging for kids to translate how to interact. This is how we decided to help our daughter learn.
We set up a family zoom meeting today where we changed places.
Zoe was the teacher. I was Zoe.
I showed her what it was like to not be a great listener. I spoke very softly and kept looking away from the screen.
She got so frustrated. She kept correcting me, “Look at the screen mommy.”
This went on a short time. She kept correcting me.
Finally I got it right. (Yay, me!)
Zoe was so proud she taught me.
Hang in there momma. It can be hard as we navigate being at home, teaching our children and balancing it all. We have to get creative, and when our brains are tired and we can’t think of one more creative thought, let’s ask for help. Together is the only way forward.
What are your zoom tips?
