The only issue I had while putting this together was stopping myself from munching on the delicious fruit. All it takes is one nibble and next thing you know, you have to go back to the store for blackberries and raspberries to complete the board. It took exercising the fruit of self-control (pun intended) and I’m happy to report that the fruit and cheese board made it to our brunch in the park intact. God is good!
A lady in the elevator was stunned that I had put the board together myself. Her exact words were; “Wow, you made that? I thought you ordered it from somewhere. It looks professionally made”. So dear ladies, prepare to impress and receive loads of compliments when you make this.
Let’s get into it.
Ingredients
- 500gm/18oz strawberries
- 500gm/18oz blueberries
- 500gm/18oz blackberries
- 250gm/9oz raspberries
- ½ cantaloupe, diced
- 500gm/18oz cheddar cheese
- 1 blood orange, cut in rounds
- Mint to garnish
Directions
The directions are simple!
1. Wash and dry the fruit.
2. Cut the cheese into slices, maintain the triangle shape, and arrange into a cross on the board.

3. Then fill up the spaces left with fruit. You can follow the arrangement in the photo attached or be creative with your own design.

4. Lastly cut out the words HE IS RISEN from squares of cheese and arrange on top of the cross for the final touch.

I had meant to garnish this all with a few leaves of mint cleverly placed to give a good color contrast but forgot. Just know it is an option.
