Sometimes we stumble across things we love so much we can’t help but share them with the world. Today I’m sharing five foods I’ve been enjoying almost daily. Not only are they delicious and satisfying, but they’re reasonably healthy, too!

1. Cookie Dough Overnight Oats: I’m not a breakfast person, but I usually have a half-portion of this as a mid-morning snack and it is sooooo satisfying. Plus, since it’s a make-ahead recipe, it’s ready instantly. Now here are a couple of caveats. 1) Does it taste exactly like cookie dough? Well…no. There is no substitute for the amazingness that is actual cookie dough, but this is decently healthy and delicious breakfast. 2) I’ve discovered I don’t like overnight oats cold, but I love this heated up so the chocolate chips become melted and gooey. Enjoy it however you love it! PRO TIP: For a more “cookie dough” taste add 1/8 tsp of baking soda and a pinch of salt when mixing it up.
2. Avocado Toast: If I’m not having my cookie dough oats for breakfast, I’m having avocado toast made with Dave’s Killer Bread and topped with bacon or smoked salmon and sliced tomatoes. I love my avocado mashed and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, and cayenne for a spicy kick.
3. Tofu Shirataki Tonkotsu Ramen: I grew up in Japan. I love a bowl of ramen, but they can be pretty high-carb and high-calorie. I came across this brand made with tofu shirataki noodles that’s only 150 calories per bowl, and it is so amazing. I mean, just look at the richness of that broth. Now if you haven’t had shirataki noodles (commonly known by the brand name “Miracle Noodle”), they have a different, more rubbery texture than flour-based noodles. Personally, I love it – but I know it’s not for everyone. These are a little less rubbery because they are made with tofu in addition to glucomannan (konjac root). Prepping this ramen is super easy and I top it with whatever I have on hand for lunch a couple of times a week. They also have Shoyu and Spicy Miso flavors, but Tonkotsu is my favorite. I stumbled across this in the Asian refrigerated section at Central Market. Serve it in these cute authentic ramen bowls!
4. Mr. Brown Iced Coffee. So I recently did a taste test of canned and bottled iced coffees. HOLD THE PHONE because if I’d have had this coffee at the time it would have come out on top. It’s half the price of most of the other options, only 100 calories per can, and creamy, rich, and sweet. It’s made with coffee extract instead of just coffee and I would have loved for it to be a touch stronger, but it wasn’t bitter and overall I’ve stumbled upon a new love. I found it in the Asian foods section at Albertsons, but it’s available in bulk for a great price on Amazon.
5. Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars. A dear friend turned me on to these a few months ago and I’m totally hooked. I’m not typically a dark chocolate person, but the coconut boosts the sweetness enough to be satisfying but not so sweet that it sparks my cravings for an endless candy binge. I have one every evening and it’s the perfect ending to my day. I got mine at Sprouts, but they’re also available at Costco, and of course you can have them delivered right to your doorstep via Amazon.
