I started organizing my summer pool bag to ensure I am ready to roll when the nice weather hits here in the Pacific Northwest. Our neighbor has a pool which we use as often as we can without being too annoying. We also love driving a bit east for guaranteed hot weather. Regardless, I always ensure I have the following packed and ready.
1. Beach Towel Chair Clips. No more worrying about your towel flying off your chair from a little breeze. I get compliments 100% of the time I use these because they are so practical yet not something everyone has.
2. Phone Shade. Sure this one might seem silly but how annoying is it when you are trying to lounge and the glare of the sun means you can’t see your phone screen? I discovered this a couple years back and it’s another one I always get compliments on.
3. Cup Holders. Whether you are at the beach or the pool, it’s frustrating when your drink gets tipped over. A cup holder has become a necessity for me to pack in my pool/beach bag.
4. Pool Toys. A mom who wants to lounge and bored kids just don’t mix well together. If your kids are old enough to independently swim, I recommend ensuring you pack up sink toys. You can throw them from the comfort of your chair and keep your kids entertained while you take a break and lounge a bit.
5. Waterproof Blue Tooth Speaker. Even just an afternoon in the sun can feel like a vacation if you do it right. Music can help get the summer vibes in full motion.
