Matthew 28:5-7: “The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goes before you into Galilee; there shall you see Him.’ “
With Easter just a few weeks away, this is a perfect DIY project to do with your family while having a meaningful conversation about what Easter means to us as followers of Jesus Christ; our Risen King.
The stained-glass effect is so beautiful especially when the sun shines through, reflecting the gorgeous colors all around.
What you need:
- Painter’s Tape
- Washable Paint
- Dish Soap
- Sponges
Instructions:
Step 1: Outline the cross on your window or glass door with painter’s tape.
Step 2: Outline the rays of light.
Step 3: Randomly place tape of mixed length all around to cover the entire project area.
Step 4: Add about two drops of dish soap to your paint. This makes it thinner and easier to wash off.
Step 5: Paint! Using various colors, create your epic stained-glass masterpiece.
Step 6: Let dry fully and carefully peel away the painter’s tape.
