Tired of eating the same thing over and over? Looking to spice up your meals with something flavorful and delicious? Then this beef fried rice recipe is for you! Giving leftovers new life by turning them into a mouthwatering new dish makes me happy! I tend to get bored easily with mundane cuisine and this keeps me on the look out for recipes that are packed with flavor, easy to execute and require minimal preparation time.
Let’s get into it!
Ingredients:
- 400 grams (.88 lb) ground beef
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups rice, cooked
- 4 cloves, ground
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup fresh chopped parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon
Directions:
1. Cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, crumbling with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper.
2. To the cooked ground beef, add onion, spring onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add garlic, cloves, cumin, dried parsley and stir to combine.
3. Add the leftover rice and fresh chopped parsley and mix well. Remove from heat all allow to rest for 5 minutes. Remove lid, gently fluff rice with a fork, reapply lid and rest for 5 more minutes.
4. Garnish with green onion and parsley before serving and enjoy!
Variations:
Replace the beef in this recipe with any other meat like turkey, chicken or pork. Be sure to shred or dice the meat first.
