Moms, our bodies have been through a lot. God shaped us that way. We all know men couldn’t withstand things like morning sickness and certainly not hours upon hours of labor and delivery. After two pregnancies and deliveries, nursing babies until after their first birthdays, countless sleepless nights and about a billion other baby focused things, my body has taken a back seat.
Stephanie has been compensated by 30/10 Weight Loss for Life to share her honest experience with you, but all opinions are her own.
But here’s the thing. My “babies” are now seven and four. I have realized each stage in parenting is hard. Each very different but each presents different challenges. Each one presents excuses for why we moms don’t put ourselves first. Or even second.
I don’t keep it a secret that I am one of “those” moms who actually enjoys working out. But I have come to realize that working out isn’t the only ingredient in a healthy me. I have also realized that if my youngest is four years old, I can no longer call anything baby weight. It’s time for me to take control and stop making excuses.
Today, I am committing to a healthier me.
My 5’5 frame doesn’t have a lot to lose. But I know a lot of you are like me where we just can’t find the way to get back to the weight we feel good in. I am not trying to weigh 115 pounds, ladies. That ship sailed long ago. I am trying to simply get myself back to a healthy me.
I wanted something that would help me to learn to actually stay at my goals once I reached them. I have learned through trial and error I just couldn’t do it alone.
Enter 30/10 Weight Loss for Life. I had heard about the program before, but never thought it was for me.
I thought it was focused on those with more significant numbers to drop on the scale.
Not true.
It turns out, the program is catered entirely towards getting anyone towards their goals. Yes, anyone.
Today, I had an In Body Scan completed. It’s basically a measure of your entire body composition.
I was honestly shocked.
My body fat was way higher than I anticipated it would be. It’s probably the motivation that tipped me over the edge into knowing I needed to get serious about getting healthier.
The In Body Scan is just one of many awesome things that the 30/10 Weight Loss for Life program will provide you. This means weekly tracking of how well you are hitting or missing your goals. It’s hard to make excuses with technology like that.
I learned about the program and how I wouldn’t be just drinking all my calories or some sort of other odd “eating” plan. I would be nourishing my body every single day. Actually, every couple of hours throughout the day.
Today, I also met the team of people that will be supporting me along the way. They have all been through the program before so they are what I would consider experts. They are going to understand any ups and downs I experience because I know they’ve experienced the same.
I finally feel like I am putting myself first. Or at least second. I am committing to a healthier me. For myself and for my family.
I will be sharing my experience on 30/10 Weight Loss for Life. There is truly no time like the present. Let’s do this!
