Remind yourself it is okay – The bottom line is that you deserve it and that it is okay. Taking an afternoon away or prioritizing something for yourself is okay! Your children will be better for it if you are taking the time for self-care.

If having an afternoon out with your best girlfriends is something you need, make a plan. Organize with a sitter or your spouse to take care of the kids so you can enjoy your time guilt free. Making a simple plan will ensure that you actually make it happen.
Something Else Might Need to Go – There is a season for everything. Perhaps in this season of your life you need to take something off your list. Write everything down that you do and be honest with yourself. It is okay if something gets cut for awhile.
Eliminate Distractions – Yikes, tough one. What distracts you from your goals? Get rid of it. Things like television, social media, etc…perhaps you need to give yourself certain times of the day you can do these things, or cut them altogether.
