There are a couple things about me that you probably don’t know, or maybe you do, but I’ll just tell you again anyway.
- I do not enjoy cooking. I just really don’t. I don’t mind baking, but for some reason cooking is just not my jam.
- I am in charge of our meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking so I am always looking for ways to make it easier.
Fall is coming and my kids are going back to school in a hybrid way, which means I will need to be even more organized. Sometimes we will be packing lunches, and sometimes kids will be at home. Plus, my husband and I are still working from home and need to eat. We are stuck in a rut in terms of food because quarantine life is weird, and sometimes the grocery store doesn’t have what I need. All these issues are at the front of why I decided to try Maven Meals and I’m so excited I did!

First things first, What is Maven Meals?
Maven Meals is not like Hello Fresh or Blue Apron. The meals are already cooked. I tried Hello Fresh at one point and frankly I just couldn’t keep up with cooking all the meals and I ended up wasting a lot of the ingredients. Maven Meals is ready to go. Simply reheat and eat!
I love that Maven Meals are FRESH and not frozen.
I received my first box today. It comes easily to your doorstep. The delivery charge was $4.75, which I felt was fair and comparable to other companies I’ve used. In fact, it’s cheaper than Fred Meyer clicklist! I love that Maven Meals is local! You can pick up your meals if you prefer as well, but I prefer the easy delivery option.
Each week you can go online to pick out your meals for the week. You order by the serving, WHICH I LOVE. The reason I love this is because sometimes I may order something for my husband or I that I know I won’t order for my kids, so I can order a little less of that. I do not like ending up with a bunch of food items we waste, which happens too often and it such a waste of money.
This week I’m excited to try a few things from each category so I can give you the full scoop. I ordered a few items from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Bakery. Since my box came just in time for lunch I sampled the shaved brussels sprouts, kale and soba salad along with some Munch Mix! Super yummy! I am really excited to get some nutritious food back in our lunch and snack routine. Goodbye bagels for lunch – hello vegetables!
There is no minimum order so I recommend you order from Maven Meals today! Here is how to get started.
- See if Maven Meals delivers to your zip code!
- Choose your meals
- Sit back and relax because your meal planning is done!
I cannot wait to make this part of my fall routine!
