This little Mama is a steam engine. She gets more done in a day than most people I know. Like many young moms these days, she balances being a wife, a mommy, a valued co-worker, a friend, plus many other titles too numerous to count. Fortunately, she has always been the kind of person who hits the ground running. She has no patience with idleness or laziness, especially in herself. She sets goals and does everything in her power to keep them. Sitting still just doesn’t fit in with her dynamic personality.
BUT, when her very active three year old falls asleep on her tummy, her forward momentum screeches to a halt. She knows that these times are rare and growing rarer by the day. It’s time to just sit and drink in the fuzzy little head, the baby smell and the rhythmic breathing of her little guy. Plans and to-do lists can wait. This is the very best of motherhood and it’s meant to be cherished. She takes the time to drink it all in.
