-excerpt from “One Life on Earth” by Fran Bosa
Life is like a roller coaster at times; we hit all kinds of twists and turns and valleys and mountaintops, and unless something is holding us back, we can be thrown out. God is like my seatbelt. He holds me tight, and with Him I am in a safe place. He protects, loves, and forgives. I am blessed. I am happy where I am in life—even though it is not perfect and I do not have everything my heart desires. I trust in His perfect plan. I feel God wanted me to tell my story so others can understand and be challenged in their life’s journey. That is why the subtitle for this book is: “One way of life brings peace, and the other brings heartache. Only you can make the choice as to which life you want to live.”
To sum up my life: I had an abortion. I married young and was in an abusive relationship. I lost a group of great friends. I have been near death three times with anaphylactic shock and once with a strep and staph infection. I was a struggling single mother. I suffered a complete burnout and ended up in the hospital. My brother lived almost thirty-six years as a quadriplegic. My father died prematurely. Living through these difficulties was made even harder by the fact that my children and I had no other family living near us.
However, looking back, I would say that our lives have been extremely blessed. I have a beautiful home. Both of my kids are healthy. My daughter has undertaken university studies in biology, religious studies, and psychology. My son has worked hard on the Alberta oil rigs. My allergy is now nonexistent. I am still single, but I am truly thankful for the blessings we have. So many times God has richly blessed our family of three.
As Christians, we have a future in heaven which gives us hope while living here on earth. What happens here is insignificant compared to an eternal life with Christ. Many times God shows His presence through other people. This book clearly demonstrates how broken I was and how uplifted I am now through Christ being actively involved in my life. I hope and pray my story is encouraging to others.

“I bought some books from Fran Bosa from her book launch, “One Life on Earth,” and was dropping one off at my parent’s place for my sister. I came into their home and they were unaware what the book was about. I handed the book to my mom and she took it with both hands and she said “Oh, what is in this book…there is something about this book….it must be powerful as I have goosebumps all over me”!
She then told her husband what her reaction was and was teary eyed and then I continue to speak about what the book entailed.
My intention was to give the book to my sister, but after this reaction, I told my mom to keep the book and I got another copy from my car to give to my sister.
I feel this book was anointed by the Holy Spirit and my prayer is my Mom will receive healing and know the power of Jesus.”

Her brother was shot, her father died, her family lost their home, she lost a child, she suffered burnout, and she was near death three times. But this is also a story of perseverance and victory. After recounting her story, Fran Bosa explains what she has learned and where she has learned it. This book includes excerpts from the writings of Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, and other Christian leaders, whose words have encouraged and blessed Bosa and molded her into the woman she is today. One Life on Earth is available for purchase on Amazon or through her website.
