My mother would make these delicious cookies (of which she only had the recipe in her head until now) for every holiday from Thanksgiving to July 4th. They are my favorite and I hope that they become a family favorite of yours as well!
Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Cream together
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 beaten egg
Add
1 pkg of semi-sweet morsels
1/2 cup water
2 cups of oatmeal
1 cup flour
add flour in small amounts as needed
Do a test cookie at 350 degrees by dropping a rounded spoonful onto cookie sheet. Dip a glass into flour and press dough to 3/4 inch.
Continue to add flour to dough until desired consistency is reached
