As the weather warms up, do you feel like you need a revolving door in your house? The kids tend to go in, go out, go in, go out, on repeat all day. They need to go potty, they need a drink, they’re hungry, they need a band-aid (for a microscopic owie). It never ends!
Our craft today will help, at least a little bit. They’re snack necklaces! Older kids can help make them and younger kids can choose the snacks.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Yarn or string.
A heavy duty needle.
Scissors.
Snacks. Such as: grapes, cheese cubes, meat sticks, cheez-its (they have a hole), fruit gummies, gummi lifesavers, pretzels, popcorn, cheerios, raisins, yogurt cranberries, …
Instructions:
The instructions are easy, just thread the needle and start adding your child’s favorite snacks to the yarn. I just used what I had at home, but you could shop for fun foods with a hole.
Tie the yarn or string off for a necklace or bracelet and trim the ends.
Voila! Your kids can go outside with a ready-made snack and Moms can enjoy a tiny bit of peace as the kids explore the backyard in their new jewelry.
It should be noted that these shouldn’t be worn to a dog park or to bear country, but otherwise, they’re great fun.
As an added bonus, I made a snack necklace for my husband.
Because, sometimes husbands need a little treat too. 😊
Have fun!
