Looking for something fun to do with your family this month? Head down to Knutson Farms in Sumner, Washington for their annual Spring Bloom event! My family and I just spent the afternoon there and had a blast, and that’s not always easy to accomplish with four kids between the ages of one and twelve!
Check out the fun in store from Maria’s visit!

Knutson has everything covered from farm animals to food trucks. We loved the family friendly atmosphere and all of the different activities.
First, we explored the animal barn. Nothing says spring like farm animals, and even adults will enjoy checking out the bunnies, goats, and pigs! Kids of all ages will love petting the sheep and seeing the piglets cuddle up under their heat lamp. The chickens and ducks are so fun to watch and right next to those, they have rubber duck racing! Close-by was the trike track, and my bicycle-loving son couldn’t resist. It’s such a cute set-up. They just grab a helmet, choose a trike, and start their race! The daffodils and tulips all over the farm are so pretty and really add a touch of warmth to your visit.
In the farm’s cozy covered area, we checked out the cute gift boutique and our kids each found something special. We grabbed some amazing fresh donuts, delicious coffee, and fresh-squeezed lemonade while they played corn hole and hopped around on a giant bouncy ball. They also had an adorable seed planting station, coloring area, and sand boxes full of construction trucks to play with. Next, we headed over to the cow train and hay-ride! Each one took just the right amount of time.
After that, it was time to explore the beautiful tulip fields! The blooms were incredible. The dark purple flowers were my favorite, and the kids loved the red. With all of the different colors they have grown, you are bound to find one you like the best!
Towards the end of our farm trip we ordered some pizza from the food truck. It was the perfect way to end the evening and tasted amazing! I was especially glad that they had a gluten free option, because that’s not usually the case at farm events! On our way out, we stopped by another cool play area with a gravel pit full of toy trucks and some stands where we could shoot hoops and throw tennis balls through the backboard. All in all, this was the perfect afternoon getaway and really made it feel like spring had arrived! Whether you are going for the activities, the flowers, or both, it will be well worth your trip. Knutson Farms has so much to offer, and I hope that you and your family will enjoy it as much we did!
