I recently received the coolest book to work through with our kids. It is called “The Daily Question For You And Your Child”. We have had so much fun going through it. The Daily Question is set up like a journal, each day we are given a question to think about and discuss. The questions range from silly (do you prefer to build snowmen or have snowball fights?) to serious (what is the best way to show someone you’re sorry?).
This book differs from other daily journals in that it allows space for three years worth of entries. So, if we stick with this, we will be able to keep it going until 2020. I can only imagine how much their answers will change over the years as they grow and mature!
We have learned a lot about one another as we have worked through The Daily Question. For example, on August 30th our question was “What do you do when you disagree with your friends?” It was interesting to see who always wants to talk it out and who prefers the Elsa approach and just lets it go. On September 18th we all picked our favorite teachers. I was able to send a fun message to our favorites and thank them for all they have done for us over the years.
I received my copy of The Daily Question at no charge in return for my honest review, but you better believe I will be buying additional copies to give as Christmas gifts! If you’d like to snag a copy for a family on your list, click here.
