Kids love to help bake, and it’s fun to make treats for friends and family during the holidays. But it’s also time-consuming and messy. Here are three treats you can make in a snap – and your kids can even help, too!
Dipped Pretzels. Soooooooo easy. Dip them in melted chocolate or almond bark, and then drizzle some colored chocolate over them for a festive look. Or – even easier – just have your kiddo put sprinkles on them.
Magic Cookie Bars. These don’t even feel like cheating because you actually bake them. But here’s the best part – NO MIXING. Dump the ingredients in the pan, and pop it in the oven. To make clean-up (and removing the bars) even easier, line the pan with parchment.
Christmas Tuxedo Pretzels. Waffle pretzels, Hershey’s hugs, and M&Ms. Your kid could practically make this on their own. Put a hug on each waffle pretzel, “bake” at 200 for 4 minutes (or until the Hershey starts to melt), remove from oven and pop a Christmas-colored M&M on there. Parchment is again your friend for easy clean-up afterwards.
What’s your favorite Christmas “baking” recipe when you don’t have the energy to bake?
