This week I’ve put together some fun challenges you can do as a whole family. Whether you have small kids or big kids these routines will work for everyone!
1) Plank Challenge!
How long can you hold this position? Have your kids give you a goal for you all to achieve together! The first to drop then cheers on those still going! Instead of bragging rights, the winner gets out of one chore the following day!
2) The 30 Challenge! Squats, Pushups and Jumps! Team participation required:
The goal is 30 reps of each of these moves. Split them up accordingly but only one person can move at a time so the others can cheer you on! Maybe mom starts with 5 pushups, then dad takes on 10 squats and the youngest kid jumps up and down 15 times…switch up who does what so everyone gets to try something different.
Time yourselves and increase the number from 30 once you feel like that is no longer a challenge!
3) One Minute of Crunches!
Set the timer and see how many crunches you can do in one minute.
Tip, cross your arms in front of you (hands to opposite shoulders) to ensure you are using your core and not your arms or momentum. Try to increase by a rep or two each time you do this!
