You’ll kill two birds with these ornaments: You’ll have decorated Christmas balls AND be able to mark the size of your child’s fingers!
Fingerprint Ornaments
You’ll need:
- Christmas balls
- Craft paint
- Paint pens (optional)
For a snowman ball: Paint your child’s fingers white and press them onto a Christmas ball. Let dry.
Once dry, add the features to your “snowmen”. You can use paint (a dipped pencil tip in black paint makes awesome “rocks” for snowmen eyes and buttons) or you can use paint pens. (Note: sharpies work well on painted surfaces, but you’ll need a paint pen to draw on any shiny surface).
Dip a pencil eraser into white paint to add snowflakes in the sky.
For a Rudolf Ball: Paint your child’s thumb brown and press thumbprints all around a Christmas ball. Let dry. Add reindeer features. A dipped pencil lead in black and red make the eyes and nose. A thin paintbrush and black paint make the antlers.
