This one is really fun. You can use it as an ornament or as wall décor.
Paint Brush Ornaments
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Paint brushes – old ones or from the dollar store
- Craft paint
- Small pom-poms
- Google eyes
- Cotton batting or craft fur
- Hot glue or thick craft glue
- Decorative sticker – optional
Gather some paint brushes. I bought these at the dollar store (or raid the garage!).
Paint the handles red with acrylic craft paint.
Dip a pencil eraser in white paint and add dots
Gather your supplies of pop-poms, eyes, and white fur.
The fur I bought unraveled when I cut it so I found it easier to use cotton batting. Put a line of glue around the top of the silver part of the handle and glue your white fluff on. Glue on eyes and a pink nose. Experiment with different kinds of eyes. I used jewel stickers, tiny pom-poms and google eyes.
You can paint the bristles of the brush white or leave them natural. I also added a holly sticker (glued on) to Santa’s hat.
I took this one from my husband and I can’t wait to turn it into a funky Santa!
Have fun!
